📜 श्री हनुमान चरित्र — The Story of Lord Hanuman

Explore the epic journey and divine pastimes of the immortal wind-god (Anjaneya)

Phase 1 · Birth & Curse

अञ्जनी पुत्र — Son of the Wind

Hanuman was born to Mother Anjana and Kesari in the monkey kingdom of Kishkindha, blessed by the Wind God (Vayu). As a child, He mistook the glowing Sun for a ripe mango and leaped into space to consume it, prompting Lord Indra to strike Him with a thunderbolt (vajra), earning Him the name Hanuman (broken jaw).

Phase 2 · Meeting Lord Ram

राम मिलाप — The Supreme Union

Due to a childhood curse by sages, Hanuman forgot His vast strengths until He met Lord Ram in the forests of Kishkindha. Instantly recognizing His eternal master, Hanuman introduced Ram to the exiled monkey king Sugriva, forging a historical alliance that would change the destiny of the world.

Phase 3 · Sundarkand Journey

लङ्का दहन — The Ocean Leap

Reminded of His divine powers, Hanuman expanded His form to leap across the southern ocean. He crossed countless obstacles, located Goddess Sita in Ravana's Ashok Vatika, and gave her Ram's signet ring. When captured by demons, He burned Lanka down with His flaming tail before returning.

Phase 4 · Slaying of Obstacles

सञ्जीवनी बूटी — Slaying of Death

During the battle of Lanka, Lakshmana was mortally wounded by Indrajit's weapon. The royal physician stated only the Sanjeevani herb from the Himalayas could save him. Unable to identify the herb, Hanuman lifted the entire Dronagiri mountain and flew it back to Lanka, saving Lakshmana's life.

Phase 5 · Absolute Devotion

हृदय निवास — Sita Ram in Heart

During Ram's coronation, Hanuman was gifted a precious pearl necklace by Sita. Hanuman began biting the pearls, looking for Ram's name inside. When courtiers laughed at His devotion, He tore open His chest with His bare hands, revealing the images of Ram and Sita physically residing in His heart.

Phase 6 · Immortal Protector

चिरञ्जीवी हनुमान — Eternal Living God

Before departing the mortal world, Lord Ram blessed Hanuman with immortality (Chiranjeevi status). He resides eternally on earth wherever the name of Ram is chanted, acting as the immediate protector and guide of souls in Kali Yuga, answering the prayers of the humble.
